“The lodge was in a perfect setting. Sheep to one side and woods to the other. Very peaceful and you can hear the birds. The lodge is so light and airy with the double set of patio doors. Lovely decor and furniture. Hot tub is amazing. Lovely part of the country with Bridgnorth town not far away which is very pretty.”

“What a fantastic place. Everything there "home from home". The location is great and the hot tub is fantistic.... loads of wildlife around... Must say we enjoyed the week so much we will be looking at booking again, later in the year.”

“We love this place, this was our second visit and absolutely just as perfect as the first time. We can’t wait to book again. The lodge is beautiful, so relaxing and an amazing place to escape to. Love everything about it. We had glorious weather so a relaxing dip in the hot tub followed by sunbathing on the veranda was extra nice. Bridgnorth, SVR and the surrounding villages offer something for everyone. What a beautiful part of the world. Phil and Sue so easy to deal with directly. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a perfect place to escape from it all.”

“We enjoyed a 3 night break at Elm Lodge in May and it really was a peaceful haven of tranquility.  The lodge itself is equipped with everything you need and is very luxurious throughout.  The hot tub is beautifully maintained and clean.  It was so lovely to arrive, unpack, feel at home and then enjoy the bubbles in the hot tub and the bubbles of the complimentary Prosecco too!!  We can't wait to return!”

“Wow, we stayed for 3 nights 9th/12th May but wished it was longer. If you want a break just to chill out and relax this is the place. The Lodge is set in a Beautiful location,so peaceful and quiet the only noise you will hear is from the Birds. The owners Phil & Sue have thought about everything you need in this lodge and the Hot tub on the decking is a great way to unwind. Seven Valley Steam Railway, Blists Hill Victorian Town and Ironbridge Gorge are all worth a visit and not to far from the lodge. We will definitely be returning hopefully soon. Thanks for a wonderful break.”

“What a beautiful place! We had an absolutely blissful time in this wonderful little lodge - beautifully presented with amazing finishes and lovely little touches. Everything you need plus a hot tub! We were here for a few days with our 10 month old and, hot tub aside, we found it really baby friendly. We had more than enough room for his travel cot in the bedroom which was such a relief, the anti-slip mat provided meant we could bath him easily, and he was able to crawl around the main living area without too much concern too. Phil and Sue were brilliant hosts and we look forward to returning again one day. Thank you!”

“We spent 3 nights at Elm Lodge and loved every minute of it. Beautiful lodge with fantastic outdoor space, we didn't want to leave. The lodge is spacious and modern which is very appealing and the hot tub and decked area is the icing on the cake. We found the owners to be very friendly and approachable and will definitely return in the future. Thanks for a wonderful stay.”

“We visited Ash lodge last weekend for my partners birthday, we also took our 11month old daughter. It is a lovely spacious modern lodge, immaculately presented with everything you could need in terms of utensils etc, the owners really had thought of everything. It is about a 15 minute drive into Bridgnorth, which is somewhere we visit a lot, a great market town where there always seems to be something going on, especially good for foodies and real ale fans. We will definitely be returning. A big thanks to the owners Phil and Sue who were really attentive both before and during our visit.”

Emma M  May 2018 - Tripadvisor

“Wow...not much more I can really say about this absolutely gorgeous place. Its equipped with everything you need and more. We could not have wished for a nicer place to spend my partners birthday. It was warm and welcoming, and the bottle of Cava on arrival was a lovely touch. The beds were clean and comfortable, everywhere was spotless. We will definitely return and recommend the lodge to others.”

“We absolutely loved our stay in Ash Lodge. It was our second visit, as once was not enough. The lodge is light, airy, spacious, well equipped, quiet and absolutely beautiful. The free standing bath is an absolute delight, the kitchen is full of home from home amenities - a water filter, a Nespresso machine and many more - and the hot tub, well what can I say? The hot tub is absolutely amazing. It’s huge, the underwater lights really add to the atmosphere and it is the most wonderful place to watch the stars. Phil and Sue have really thought of everything. Thank you so much.”

“We’ve just returned from a 4 night break at Elm lodge. We’re 2 married couples who go away each year, eat all the food and drink all the drink! By far, the best place we’ve stayed. No, there isn’t much in the immediate vicinity however within a 5 mile drive is the town and supermarket. It’s so quiet and peaceful and the best equipped lodge. Literally everything you need is there. On arrival we had a lovely bottle of cava waiting for us which was a lovely touch. Everyday the lovely owners come to check the hot tub (which was fabulous) and make sure everything is ok. Would recommend this lodge to anyone and will definitely be staying again in the near future :)”

Kayleigh M  March 2018 - Tripadvisor

“Amazing! The lodge was absolutely stunning and very well equipped, we could have quite happily stayed there forever! Set in a picturesque location which was so peaceful and provided ultimate relaxation! The welcome pack and personalised note was a nice little touch and you could tell that a lot of effort had gone into to the lodge to make it a home from home, with the beds already made up and plenty of towels provided. The hot tub was just what was needed as the temperature was hitting -5degrees but was perfect for star gazing at night. A perfect stay and we can’t wait to go back! Thank you!”

Jo A  March 2018 - AirBnB

“We stayed in Elm lodge for 3 nights and it was perfect. Lovely and clean with a bottle of Cava as a welcome gift. The instructions left by Phil & Sue were clear and extremely helpful. We ate in every night and the kitchen was like home from home, having everything you could need. The lodge was very spacious, with plenty of room for our two children to run around inside and out. Hot tub was a welcome addition and the views were stunning. Thank you for a lovely stay”

“Wonderful quiet relaxing holiday! The hot tub was lovely and the open lounge/kitchen/diner was very nice. The views across the field and over the tree tops makes you feel very secluded. Would definitely stay again.”

“Ash Lodge is fabulous , super clean , super warm and just super. My daughter booked this for me and my wife as a 60 birthday surprise / treat for 3 days in February, the setting is perfect as with everything else within and outside the lodge , hot tub and decking spacious, will defiantly book again , thanks to Phil and Sue”

“The lodge was beautiful and finished to very high standard. The setting and surroundings were just the tranquil break we needed. Nothing better than hot tub under the stars and amazing Moon we had this week. Thank you for a fabulous stay. Highly recommended.”

Anna S  February 2018 - Tripadvisor

“Stayed with my wife for a three night break at the end January, being city dwellers we really enjoyed the peace and quite and love to find places to unwind and this lodge is a great place to unwind and relax. The owners have two rental lodges on this small site, Elm a two bedroom lodge and Ash with one bedroom which is where we stayed. The lodge was, as their web pages say, immaculate well equipped and had virtually everything a short break requires, with the added bonus of the well serviced hot tub on the veranda, (and the bottle of prosecco left by the owners really hit the mark). I could recommend this lodge for its accommodation, the area for the beautiful English countryside, but the best recommendation I can give this site is that two days back from our stay we have already booked a week for August in Elm Lodge so that we can take our young Grandchildren. First class blot hole.”

Norman R  February 2018 - Tripadvisor

“The most beautiful, airy, homely Lodge. The bathroom was amazing, the bath was perfect! I love cooking and the kitchen was the perfect space for it, alongside it being open plan so you always feel part of the action. Waking up to the birds on the decking was just beautiful. Thank you.”

“Wow,what can I say!!!!!! I booked this for my partner's 30th bday and was an amazing weekend away. Phil and Sue pulled out all the stops to make this extra special including the bottle of bubbly on arrival. The lodge smelt of fresh linen and was immaculate, could not fault any of it. We went out quad biking and visited a few parks and also the farm shops but we mostly meant quality time at the lodge in the hot tub. Amazing weekend and will definitely be returning. Thank you Phil and Sue for an amazing weekend away x”

“We stayed at Elm lodge 28/12/17-1/1/18 . We were a party of two couples and the lodge exceeded all our expectations , the pictures really don't show how beautiful and spacious it is, it is equipped to a very high standard and exceptional clean . There being 4 of us having two bathrooms was a real bonus, the surroundings couldn't have been better for a relaxing few days away, it was so quiet and peaceful, most of the time all you could hear were the birds which we saw quite a few different varieties at the bird feeder on the balcony, the woodpecker being the highlight. What can you say the hot tub was so relaxing we found ourselves in and out numerous times a day. We went on the seven valley steam train from Bridgenorth to Kiddiminster a very enjoyable and knowledgeable trip. Phil and Sue were lovely hosts, a really friendly and helpful couple, nothing too much trouble, we saw Phil every day when he came to see to the hot tub and he was always happy to chat, we were so happy with our stay we booked to come back the same time again this coming new year before we had even left.”

“We had a fabulous Christmas at Elm lodge. We are a family of four, we had a lovely time here and it really is a lovely place to stay. We have been lucky enough to stay in a few 5 star holiday homes and this one didn't disappoint! I have family locally so it was great to find somewhere so comfortable to stay whilst visiting family. All the rooms were lovely and clean and comfortable. If you cook when on holiday then you have everything you will need, this is the most well equipped kitchens ever! I managed to cook our Christmas was delicious! My only gripe was I could have done with a bigger freezer than the freezer box at the top of the fridge...but we managed! We became 'Twitcher's' overnight watching all the beautiful birds and I spotted the woodpecker..... it was just so peaceful. The hot tub was fabulous and made our trip extra special. We definitely will visit again soon as it was somewhere to forget our busy lives back home.”

“The lodge was absolutely beautiful and the owners very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to be snowed in so we will be going back to see the local attractions. The hot tub made our weekend.”

“We loved our stay at Ash Lodge and echo all the previous reviews. Our stay here was so relaxing and even the weather was kind to us! The rain arrived on our last night whilst having our final hot tub. We didn’t want for anything as everything is provided and all lovely quality. We covered a lot of ground and visited Ludlow, Powys Castle, Cosford Air Museum, Shrewsbury, Bewdley, Worcester, Bridgnorth, many more places and even got a 6 mile ridge walk in! Evenings were spent at the lodge chilling out so cannot comment on dining out! Absolutely loved watching the birds feeding and came away being able to recognise lots of different ones. The Nuthatch was interesting to watch as we don’t see those up North and we had 2 Woodpeckers visit at the same time on the last day. This is the best holiday rental we have stayed at in the UK so the benchmark has now been raised!!”

“I booked the lodge for 3 nights as a surprise for my husband's birthday. The lodge was perfect - there is absolutely nothing I could fault with it. We spent a lot of time in the hot tub enjoying the peace and quiet. It could not have been better sitting there enjoying a bottle of champagne! The lodge itself has everything you would need. It was immaculate - everything was brand new. We have stayed in many holiday cottages all over the country and this was by far the nicest place we have visited! We can't wait to return!”

Suze P  December 2017 - Tripadvisor

“This lodge is perfect!  We have stayed in many holiday cottages and lodges around the country and this lodge is by far the nicest place we have stayed.  As we visited during the winter months, the weather was not the greatest, but this did not put us off using the hot tub (sometimes in the rain!).  We visited Bridgnorth and Ironbridge, but also spent a lot of time enjoying lodge with our baby son.  We would highly recommend Ash lodge to anyone and we hope to come back next year and stay in Elm lodge with my parents.”

Susanna D  November 2017 - Lodge guest book

“One of the best stays me and my other half have had for such a long time, peaceful, beautiful, clean and spacious. Town and shops are roughly a 15 minute driver but why go anywhere when you can be in this beautiful lodge!!! Brilliant hosts and lovely touches could not recommend this getaway higher! We wanted to live here, thank you Phillip and Sue once again! Outstanding! Xxx”

Chloe M  November 2017 - AirBnB

“An absolutely amazing lodge with everything you could need for a relaxing break.  We enjoyed waking up every morning to watch the birds on the feeders and every evening ralaxing in the hot tub.  Phil & Sue were the perfect hosts, making sure we were comfortable.  And the visit from Rosie made our day.  Thank you for such a lovely break and we hope to be back soon.”

Luke & Nikki  November 2017 - Lodge guest book

“The lodge is in a very quiet location away from the main road. The property was clean, light and very spacious. Check in was no problem with clear instructions provided ahead of our stay. The hot tub is, of course, a great feature, but we especially enjoyed watching the birds flock towards the bird feeders from our bed each morning. We would definitely recommend a stay.”

Robert L  November 2017 - AirBnB

“Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge.  Very comfortable, clean spacious & modern.  Loved using the hot tub of and evening and enjoying the peace, stars & hoots of owls!  Seeing the woodpecker feeding everyday was truly special and I have practised my photography quite a bit.  The entire region of Shropshire is very picturesque and we passed through lots of lovely villages.  We enjoyed a walk along Wenlock Edge and had lunch in Much Wenlock after. Lovely!!  Thanks to Phil & Sue & Rosie.”

Gina & Dave  October 2017 - Lodge guest book

“Where do we start we spent 4 nights here and arrived home today. The place is the perfect location for peace and tranquility. This is a fabulous brand new lodge no expense spared. We took food and drink with us and rarely ventured out in the 4 days as the lodge was so perfect. We enjoyed watching the birds feeding on the decking every morning and the hot tub was just wow last night we spent the night star gazing in the tub with a Cold beer. The lodge has absolutely everything you need so just take yourselves... the place was immaculate and from the second we entered you could smell the fresh linen. Phil the owner is a great help and we enjoyed meeting rosie his lovely dog. We are definitely returning for my partners birthday and hopefully and we are so glad we stumbled across this perfect getaway we cannot wait to return. One thing I will say is the WiFi and phone signal are really poor but what do you and expect in a rural area. This certainly didn’t put us off or spoil our holiday. We had the most amazing relaxing time. We visited Ludlow castle and Bridgnorth which were both lovely but If I were you I would stay put and enjoy the luxury and peace and quiet in the hot tub, we will be back thanks so much Phil and sue x”
