Severn Valley Country Park

Green Flag award-winning Severn Valley Country Park offers 126 acres of beautiful accessible countryside. Explore the walking routes, the national cycling network or soak up the wonderful views from the comfort of the visitor centre. With a natural play area and regular children’s events, it is a great day out for all the family.  From the lodge, a good way to get to the park is by driving and parking at Highley and crossing the railway and then the bridge over the river Severn by foot.  See here for more information.

Rays Farm Country Matters

Is located less than a mile away and can even be reached by a pleasant walk through the woods.  Rays Farm  is a high quality farm visitor attraction.


There many several golf courses in the local area.  These include:

The Astbury.  One of England's finest Championship Golf Courses and is less than 5 miles away.  Home of the 2016 Ryder Cup Captain Darren Clarke.

Bridgnorth Golf Club is an 18 hole course less than 8 miles away. This is a super course in a wonderful location.

Wharton Park Golf & Country Club is located close to Bewdley, less than 10 miles away.  This offers an 18 hole course and driving range.

Ample fishing opportunities are available on the River Severn which is renowned for its Barbel and has many BAA pegs along its bank. There are also several fisheries in the area.

The Highley Lido
